OUR
LADY OF GOOD HEALTH, WASHINGTON, D.C.
We
are happy to announce the Twelfth Annual celebration to honor Our Lady of Good
Health to be held on May 26th, 2012 at the Crypt Church in
the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington DC. The very first celebration was held during the month of May,
2000 and was a very solemn and wonderful event attended by hundreds of people.
Let us continue our tradition of prayers and devotion to our mother in a special way during this coming month of May by saying the Rosary and Novena at home or in your community. To show our thanks and devotion to Our Mother for all her blessings showered upon us, her children, please join in the offering of Rosary and Novena every Saturday in May at 4:30 PM, in the Crypt Church, Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington, D.C. Please click here for more details and information about participating.
On May 26th, 2012, we will all get together at The Oratory of Our Lady of Good Health in the Basilica, Washington, D.C. for a culminating celebration to honor our MOM. During this celebration there will be a HEALING MASS and BLESSING OF THE CHILDREN. The annual EXPOSITION of the statue of Our Lady of Good Health will also take place during this celebration.
“Behold your son, behold your mother” (John 19,26-27), Jesus said to his mother and his disciple John while he was on the cross. With this statement, Mary became our Mother (MOM) and we became her children. She has been working in our lives through miracles, from Lourdes to Guadalupe to Vailankanni. At all these sites she appeared to children and continues to heal the sick. Since month of May has been designated as Month of Mary let us dedicate this month for the children and the sick.
So friends let us continue our devotion to our mother in a special way
during the month of May by saying the Rosary and Novena at home or in your
community and on May 26th, 2012
we
will all get together at The Oratory of Our Lady of Good Health in the
Basilica of The National Shrine of Immaculate Conception, Washington D.C. for a
culminating celebration to honor our MOM.
The present plan is to begin the celebration approximately at 12:30 p.m. with Rosary, dedication of children, blessing of the sick followed by Holy Mass.
